HBPB ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT

The HBPB Swimming region currently hold Junior Clinics two times a year in both Gisborne and Hawke's Bay. These clinics are a great opportunity for young swimmers from across the clubs to get together to interact and form relationships, while learning invaluable skills and also having fun. It is also invaluanle for our coaches to get together and share skills, learning together and having the opportunity to coach other junior swimmers. 

These clinics have been very successful. Discuss whether your child may be able to attend one of these.

Swimming New Zealand has a more structured programme for age group athletes.

Caleb Carlisle speaks about his future as he accepts a Scholarship to the USA.

Emma Godwin and coach Willy Benson (both of Heretaunga Sunedvils) representing NZ at the World Short Coirse Championships in 2022., Amongst her personal avhievements Emma was part of relay teams that set 4 NZ Records.

Caleb Carlisle from Napier Aquahawks represented NZ at the 2023 Youth Commonwealth Games in Trinbad and Tobago. Caleb won bronze in the 50 Breaststroke,

Emma Godwin from Heretaunga Sundevils represented NZ in a Mare Nostrum Team tour, competing across three different venues. Emma winning an international medal.
