HBPB SWIMMING AWARDS

The region is proud to have so many volunteers, who over many years, have contributed greatly to the sport of swimming.

Some of these special people are acknowledged through HBPB Awards  - Service with Honours, Service and Official.

that contribute at a very high level are awarded Life Membership of the organisation.

2024 HBPB SWIMMING AWARD RECIPIENTS

WILLY BOYD (CHB) - OFFICIAL AWARD

Willy has been a Technical Official for nearly 6 years. He is currently a JOS, IOT and a Starter and is looking to train to be a Referee. Willy always gives his time, officiating on pool deck as much as he can at club, inter-club and regional meets – always making himself available.

He is a valuable member of the technical team, has a great manner poolside, and works well with others – making the role a bit of fun.

​​​​​​​WIREMU GILL (SUNDEVILS) - OFFICIAL AWARD

Wiremu is a Starter, IOT and a JOS. He always puts up his hand to officiate in whatever role works for the technical team. He is an excellent role model to the new officials, giving his time readily, supporting others, and is great to work with. He volunteers at club, inter club and regional meets and is a real asset to the region.
